Digital Learning
Exploring best practices of teaching online for my doctral research was life-changing. My qualitative research connected me with instructors throughout the country dedicated to employing innovative methods of instruction online and across multiple disciplines. For over a decade as an online teaching practitioner I have tried to implement promising practices in my virtual classroom whether they are blended or fully online. Online teaching is an art and science.
The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly changed higher education. I am proud to work with educators to increase connectivity in their classrooms as we all learn to adjust. Some of the recent issues that have arisen include how to ensure inclusivity in our virtual classrooms, how to promote academic integrity and how to use formative assessment to moniter student learning.
